What Digital Signage Is Actually For

A digital sign is a screen that somebody has to keep interesting. That is the whole job, and it is the part most people underestimate when they buy one.

Done properly it earns its place: the specials board that changes at four, the reception screen that names today’s visitors, the shopfront that runs the sale for a fortnight and then stops, the menu that switches to the evening version without anybody climbing a ladder. Done badly it is an expensive screen still showing the PDF somebody loaded in March.

Reception, Boardroom and Office

Corporate signage that carries the day’s meetings, visitor names, safety notices and whatever the business needs its people to see on the way past. Quiet, current, and consistent across every site.

Retail Floors and Shopfronts

Stock, offers and price changes on the wall in minutes instead of a print run. Bright enough for a window that gets the afternoon sun, and scheduled so the sale ends when the sale actually ends.

Change It From Your Desk

Content is scheduled and pushed from one place – to one screen, or to every screen at once. Set it a fortnight ahead and forget it, or change it at ten past four because something sold out.

Indoor and Out

Indoor panels for foyers, retail floors and boardrooms. Outdoor and high-brightness where the screen faces a street or a car park. Chosen for the light in the room rather than out of a catalogue.

Choosing a Digital Signage Company

Most people comparing digital signage companies are trying to answer one question: who will still be answering the phone in two years. It is a fair question, because signage is not really a purchase – it is a system somebody has to keep running.

Four things worth asking any supplier. Do you do the electrical and the data yourselves, or subcontract them? Who mounts it? Who comes back when it will not wake up on a Monday morning? And is the content platform something my own staff can drive, or do I ring you every time I want to change a price? We answer the first three with “us”, and the last one with “yours, and we will show them how”.

What You Actually Get From Us

Design, supply, installation and handover, from in-house technicians and system integrators. We hold the electrical and cabling licences, so the screen, the power, the data and the mounting are one job with one company answerable for it. We set the content platform up and hand it over configured and running, not blank.

After that, full offsite management and scheduling if you want it, or your own team driving it if you would rather. Both are fine. What we will not do is put a screen on the wall and leave you to work it out.

Corporate, Retail and Venue

We have put digital signage into offices and reception areas, retail floors and shopfronts, pubs, clubs and sporting venues, art galleries and property display suites – across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Where the job is really one big picture for a room full of people, that is a large-format LED screen. Where it is a surface that has to do several things at once, that is a video wall. Often enough a site ends up with all three, and it is the same crew either way.
