What Venues Actually Ring Us About
Nobody rings an audio visual company because they want audio visual. They ring because the music in the bistro is too loud at the window tables and too quiet at the bar. Because the function room needs its own sound and its own screen on a Friday and has to join the main room on a Sunday. Because the boardroom takes ten minutes and two staff to get a laptop onto the screen. Because the speakers, the amplifiers and the televisions were added one at a time over fifteen years and none of them talk to each other.
That is what commercial AV work actually is. Not a shopping list of equipment – making a building’s sound and vision behave as one system, run by the people who work there rather than by whoever installed it.

Different Sound in Every Room, From One System
Multi-zone audio means the bar, the bistro, the beer garden and the function room each get their own source and their own volume, from one rack in one cupboard. Turn the garden down at ten without touching the bar. Put the game through the main room and background music everywhere else. Hand the function room to a hirer for the night and take it back on Monday morning.
The same principle applies to vision. Which screen shows what, in which room, at which time of day – decided once, saved, and recalled by whoever is on shift.
Underneath, that is amplifiers and a zone matrix in one rack, ceiling and pendant speakers chosen for the ceiling height and the noise in the room, background music sources, and microphone and paging inputs for the nights the function room has a speaker in it. Sensible, ordinary gear, put in so it can be added to later rather than replaced.
Most jobs start as a conversation rather than an order. If you know the problem but not the answer, that is the normal way in. A good part of our work is audio visual consulting: walking the site, listening to the room, working out what the space actually needs and specifying it before anybody buys anything. Custom AV design and fit-out, then the installation, from the same team – you are not handed a specification and sent off to get it quoted somewhere else.

We have done this for sporting organisations, art galleries, property display suites, pubs and clubs. Whatever the room, the controls end up somewhere your staff will actually use them – a wall-mounted touchpad, or a roaming iPad – with the sources and layouts arranged the way the venue runs, not the way the equipment happens to be wired.
Where the job also takes in a large-format LED screen or digital signage, that is the same crew on the same job.
We work right across metropolitan Melbourne – the inner west and inner north as often as anywhere – and out into regional Victoria. Service work stays in Victoria, because a system we cannot get to within the day is a system we cannot look after properly.

One Company, Not Three
We hold the electrical and cabling licences in house. The design, the power, the data, the mounting and the commissioning are one job with one company responsible for all of it – no electrician to book around us, no data contractor to chase, and nobody to point at somebody else when something will not come on for opening night.
And the technicians who commission it are the ones who come back to service it. They know how it was cabled and how your staff use it, which is the difference between a fault fixed in an hour and a fault explained over a week.
